#11: Sea Salt Choco-Chip Cookies

 Hey team!

Choco-chip cookies!!!!!!!!!

There’s a bird on Instagram who posted these cookies a while ago (@linneajohanssonnyc) and my eyes melted out of my face. She used a recipe that was in Swedish and I was like “Doink! Wha?”

Here’s my best guess:

2 sticks & 2 tbsp butter (room temp!)

2 cups brown sugar

1 cup white sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp baking soda

4 cups flour. (The Swedish recipe said 4-1/2 cups but I think maybe that’s too much!)

Choco chunks (I used Scharffen Berger bittersweet chunks)

And some sea salt on top

Mix this junk and bake at 350 for like 15 minutes. She says 8-10 but I think Swedish ovens are like super powerful.

Anyway. Is anyway still reading this?? If you are, you’re so good looking! I’m very handsome too, don’t you think? SO HANDSOME!!!!!

What about R&B songs??? Who likes CeCe Peniston????  I sure do! Listen, most people prefer “Finally”. It’s her big hit and I love it. BUT! The real money is on “Keep On Walkin'”. Ugh!!!! It’s so great!!!!

Ok! I’ve got some work to do on this blog! I promise it’ll get better!!!! (Maybe!)

  1. Zomg.com!!!! These cookies look so good I forgot I was going to die alone!!! As Tim Gunn once said, “NO MORE CROP TOPS!” I cannot wait to make these for my 8 cats! This has Mr. Tiddlywinks all over it! Can’t wait to hear your playlist! I think you’re the Julia Child of our time or at least Guy Fieri’s half sister!

  2. These are now called the “Damn Jack Volpi cookies” in our house. (note: Parker thinks it’s so cool that I swear–but there’s no other appropriate name. We must employ the “d word.”) I would try to eat just a corner off a cookie and I always go back and eat the whole damn thing. We (I) finished our batch last night and I walked around upstairs, looking dejected with the empty ziploc, licking the bag.
